OK gotta ask...

Do you get offended when people dont say thankyou for a compliment or fav?

I honestly never thought it was a big deal myself. Ive never really expected a thankyou for commenting or faving. But, I noticed others seem to get kinda upset by it.

You see, I work about 42 - 43 hours a week on third shift... and I have four different gallerys ( Y gallery and Deviant Art get the most of my attention )

So sometimes Im late when getting to read comments... so I always figure I waited to long to reply and it would seem kinda... belated?

And when I do get to reading comments... Im sometimes to tired to think of a reply... and then wind up settling with a "Thankyou" And sometimes I feel like ... if I just type that over and over... people will think Im being insencere. Does that make sence?

Am I looking at things wrong? I mean, I love every comment I get... and they all make me smile with pride

Its a nice feeling after a hard day of repetative and unappreciated work to come home... sit down and draw... and have people love the effort I give on a hobby that I enjoy to do.... and of course would like to improve on.

But I just never put too much thought into how other artists felt I guess. Ussually I always go and check out the artists gallery and check out thier stuff... but even then I have a hard time thinking on what to say

But if people say they think Im being cold... or they like a good thankyou... Ill be more than happy to do so. I guess I just always pressure myself to be able to say something more meaningful than just "Thankyou".

But for all those who are wondering... I always read your comments and am thankful for your attention to my petty art. Its appreciated more than you can ever know.

And I know I dont draw much of anything spectacular or unique... hell here lately Ive just been throwing out stuff that just tickles my fancy. I really wasnt expecting much from people when I started on the SP fanart... it was just something I wanted to do. Yet its been one of the most fun fandoms Ive ever been a part in. Although Ive been debating on drawing for other things as well. I havent drawn so much for one thing sence DBZ

Eh, I usually don't give a thanks over and over again. Usually, if someone has a question in their comments, I'll answer it and add my gratitude towards the end, but, otherwise, it's not spoken but understood. Whoa, I confused myself.

It never really bothered me :/ Most of the time I can't even reply to comments from close friends because I can't think of anything meaningful to say.

Actually, I never do that either... if a comment interests me, I reply, but I rarely just thank the person unless they were *really* nice. I rarely thank people for favs, but that's just because I'm lazy.

If I've said something like a creative critism or a question I kinda expect an answer but if I've just gone "OMGZ YOUS AWSOME!!11" then it doesn't bother. If someone new has said a nice comment I'll say thankyou. As for favs I always say thank you but never expect anything back.

Personally, I think just drawing and putting it up here is enough for me. I don't get mad if i comment people and they dont say anything back because they already gave me something. An awesome picture i can look at over and over and over again. lol. If people get mad for you saying 'Thank you' i kind of think thats a little retarded, because you took the time in reading what they had to say and wrote back too. You don't owe anybody anything. Its even.

You give them a picture to look at, they give you a comment (period). lol.

But you're really nice if you comment back, even if its a 'thank you'. Its the thought that counts.

My Feelings are never hurt if some doesn't say thank you. I don't say it very often myself, Or comment on all the art I see. Typing 'Thank you' over and over would drive me nuts and take up more time then I'm willing to let go of.

No I'm not a very nice person in most peoples eyes.
